Rachael Inchboard - Lymphatic Drainage Massage (LDM) and Swedish Massage
'Since 75% of disease is thought to be caused by stress, massage, which reduces stress, may well improve health.'
Lymphatic Drainage Massage (LDM) is an extremely light pressure massage that puts you in a deeply relaxed state and promotes a strong healthy immune system.
• Stimulates lymph fluid, which collects toxins, waste and bacteria which could otherwise cause disease and illness.
• Delivers antibodies and nutrients to help boost the immune system.
• Oxygenates parts of the body with localized fat.
• Helps with the regeneration of body tissues.
Swedish Massage uses a range of movements and pressure to manipulate tissues for both local and overall therapeutic effects and benefits.
• Relieves muscular tension. - Loosens tight knotted muscles.
• Relaxes and calms the mind. - Helps promote self healing.
• Eases away aching joints.
• Helps rejuvenates the whole body & sense of well being.
The impact of stress in daily life can affect everybody in different ways and to different degrees both physically and mentally. Massage can help alleviate stress and tension that has built up in the body and assist in preventing it. This is done by slowing the central and sympathetic nervous systems down, allowing the body to relax.
Recent family and personal illnesses along with Rachael's study and practice of Nichiren Daishonin Buddhism, and academic training as a Landscape Architect have led her to focus on improving the quality of people's lives and well being.
Rachael's interest in improving the quality of life and wellbeing began 18 years ago when her younger daughter suffered from birth trauma and severe colic. At the time alternative medicine was in its infancy. So through fortunate circumstances she found a fantastic book with massage techniques to help this condition – the book became her bible.
A few years later this condition (birth trauma) developed in puberty as chronic fatigue (research suggests there is a correlation). Medically there is nothing out there to aid this condition. Through research on the internet Rachael found Lymphatic Drainage Massage techniques to help alleviate this condition as well as many others.
This has resulted in Rachael becoming professionally qualified as a massage therapist in Swedish and Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
Rachael looks forward to discussing how she can help you. Each treatment begins with a consultation to discuss lifestyle and medical history. This is to ensure the treatment is suitable for you and that it will not aggravate any existing conditions. The treatment will be tailored to your requirements.
