Body Control Pilates Teacher
Classes and Private Sessions
Sarah West undertook
her Body Control Pilates training under the instruction of Lynne
Robinson and team in Little Russell Street, London. It is approved
at meeting the requirements of the UK National Standard for Pilates.
It is a Level 3 National Qualification. She has been practising
Body Control Pilates since 1999. The years course is widely recognised
by health professionals such as physiotherapists, osteopaths and
chiropractors as a basis method of exercise which works brilliantly.
It is a method that targets the deep postural muscles from within,
rebalancing the body and bringing it into correct alignment. Body
Control Pilates teachers are renowned for their attention to detail.
Sarah
teaches people who are basically fit, but may have health issues
and everyday common complaints. She teaches 1:1 sessions or matwork
classes with no more than 8 people in a class. Her lessons include
using “portable equipment” such as wobble boards,
stretch bands, hand and leg weights. It uses a progressive approach
so that it can be tailored to suit your own personal needs and
requirements. The initial lesson begins by looking at your postural
type and recommending a programme for you and customizing it.
Its slow and controlled approach means that it gives longer term
results.
She
has recently completed training with Paul McLinden who specifically
trains in Pilates for Men.
